Marking the centenary of Skryabin's death to the very day, Garrick Ohlsson's two-concert series focusing on the composer concludes with a programme immersed in the mysticism and transcendental soundscapes of his music.
His recital opens with the emotionally volatile F minor Piano Sonata and embraces the haunting chromatic dissonances and meditative intensity of the so-called 'Black Mass' Sonata, a work with the power to open minds to new ways of being in the world.
