Jill Leovy spent聽nine years working as a reporter for the LA Times embedded with the Los Angeles Police Department. Her book, Ghettoside follows the investigation into the murder of a police detective鈥檚 18 year old son, and the police work done to bring his killers to justice. We speak to her about her work following the detectives, the mothers devastated by loss on a shocking scale, and some of the women brave enough to testify against killers despite putting themselves in danger.

Are young voters more engaged in Scotland?

At last year鈥檚 Scottish Referendum for Independence turn-out was 85%, and voters as young as 16 cast their ballots. So, just eight months later are young women in Scotland any more likely to turn out to vote than those in the rest of the UK? Jane talks to some of the young women of the and Cohort about how they and their friends feel about the election 鈥� and about using their vote.

Gender Neutral Clothing

A leading department store has聽launched a new project called 鈥楢gender,鈥� which includes a gender neutral clothing range. The aim is to challenge gender stereotypes. What does this say about the future of fashion and its industry? Reporter Anna Bailey聽spoke to the designers behind the clothes. And聽Jenni speaks to fashion journalist Kenya Hunt, to discuss the concept of agender fashion.

Marjane Satrapi

Marjane Satrapi is best known for her autobiographical graphic novel , which was turned into an award winning film. The Iranian born writer and director, who now lives in Paris, discusses her new project聽The Voices 鈥� a horror-comedy film about a serial killer factory worker, played by Ryan Reynolds, who takes advice from his talking cat and dog. Marjane tells Jenni what attracted her to the film, why she likes her lead character and whether she would like to go back to聽Iran.
