After an apprenticeship in the Slits, Rip Rig and Panic, and Float Up CP, Neneh achieved fame with her performance of Buffalo Stance whilst pregnant on Top of the Pops in 1988. She was instrumental in incubating the sound system culture and the trip-hop sound, and last year she released her fourth, critically acclaimed, solo album after a 16 years hiatus - a return which was been hailed as one of the most creative chapters in an already fascinating career.
