A tribute to multi-award winning author, Alistair Macleod, who passed away earlier this year.
Dlùth chuimhne air Alistair MacLeòid - an sà r sgrìobhadair agus sgeulaiche air an robh spèis mhòr aig muinntir Chanada - a chaochail na bu thrà ithe sa bhliadhna. Tha an sgrìobhadh aige a-nise ann an dà leabhar - 'Island', cruinneachadh de a sgeulachdan goirid, agus an nobhail aige, 'No Great Mischief'.
Tha grunn dhaoine ag innse mun eòlas a fhuair iad air duine sònraichte, agus sgrìobhadair gun samhail, agus a chuid obrach aig an robh dlùth dhà imh ri a fhreumhan Albannach agus Gà idhlig. A' cuimhneachadh air Alistair an dà chuid mar dhuine, agus mar sgrìobhadair - Fionnlagh MacLeòid. Mà rtainn Dòmhnallach, Joan Michael, Frank Dòmhnallach, agus Craig MacAoidh.
A warm tribute to Alistair Macleod - the multi-award winning author, and one of Canada's most beloved storytellers - who passed away in April 2014. His writing is now in two books - 'Island' a book of his short stories, and his novel 'No Great Mischief'.
A number of those who knew him reflect on a very special person and a literary legend whose work was very much rooted in his Scottish and Gaelic roots. Reflecting on who Alistair was as a man and as a writer - Finlay MacLeod, Martin Macdonald, Joan Michael, Frank Macdonald and Craig MacKay.
