#Videos6Music - help create a music video-inspired playlist.
Inspired by the music video genius of Los Angeles band OK Go, Tom Robinson asks 6 Music listeners to create the ultimate music video-inspired playlist.
Last week indie alt rockers OK Go released their latest mind-blowing video, this time for new single 'I Won't Let You Down'. Its the next step in the band's groundbreaking canon of mini movies, this time filmed in and around a Tokyo warehouse with the lads zipping around on personal transportation devices.
Shot in one take and recorded in double time, the vid shows the band members and several hundred dancers performing intricate choreographed routines while filmed by a camera on aoctacopter aerial drone. It's pretty epic. But is it the among the best music videos ever?
For Sunday's playlist listeners are invited to suggest the ultimate music video tracks from any era or in any genre. We require help to compile the greatest music video-inspired playlist, including the best, the boldest, the weirdest, the beautiful and maybe most underrated music ever committed to video. Everything from Michael Jackson and Peter Gabriel to The Prodigy, Sigur Ros and Bjork.
Send song choices and comments via the hashtag #Videos6Music on Twitter as well as through the 6 Music and Now Playing Facebook pages, dragging tracks on the show's collaborative playlists on Spotify and Rdio, or the other usual live show contact methods.
