Mary Ann Kennedy presents new music from around the world, plus a session with Netherlands-based band Arifa.

Mary Ann Kennedy with new tracks from across the globe, plus a session with Netherlands-based band Arifa.

Arifa has been called "a bridge of sounds between the Orient and Occident", with a style that blends the cultures of its band members. Romanian Alex Simu plays saxophone, clarinet and live laptop;
Michalis Cholevas from Greece plays the Tarhu spike fiddle and the Ney flute; German
Franz von Chossy plays piano; and Turkish musician Sjahin During is on percussion. They are currently on a tour which includes Korea, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK.
