We're used to seeing strong women outshine men these days, but how would they have coped in depression struck 1920's America?
That's the story of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's latest movie Serena - where both are tested physically and emotionally as they battle to save something a lot more important than their timber business.
It's directed by Danish Oscar winner Susanne Bier who spoke to our Arts Correspondent Thomas Magill about how tough it was adapting this well-known novel for the big screen and what it was like watching the chemistry between Lawrence and Cooper bubble on set.

4. Love's Labour's Lost and Love's Labour's Won at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford Upon Avon
This is an unusual pairing of two comedies about love thwarted and love fulfilled...if the second play sounds unfamiliar, it's because it's one we best know as Much Ado About Nothing. The two plays are cross-cast with Edward Bennett and Michaelle Terry playing the lovers in both shows.
Love's Labour's Lost and Love's Labour's Won run in tandem at Stratford until 14th March.
