Allan Campbell visits businessman Willie MacPhee at Vatten south of the village of Roskhill, on the shores of Loch Bracadale. Willie describes the changes in the community in his lifetime but concedes that, although only two of the original families still live in the village, new residents are keeping the community alive. We also hear an excerpt of a 1958 School of Scottish Studies map project recording by James Ross with Ali Willie Nicolson on the place names between Lonmore (Dunvegan) and Caroy Cemetery. Allan and Murdo Beaton visit the cemetery at Caroy, and Murdo describes its history and its links with the Lockerbie disaster of 1988. Murdo also tells some of the history of neighbouring Feorlaig and one of the tenant farmers who occupied it before it was broken into crofts.
