Chris 'Early Breakfast' Hawkins sits in for Mark and Stuart, and is joined by singer-songwriters Hollie
Cook and Mary Epworth. They've just returned from the Liverpool International Festival, where they've made a live recording using traditional and new technology at St George's Hall, alongside other performers such as Boy George, Tim Burgess and Level 42's Mark King, amongst others. Hollie Cook's a London-based singer songwriter of 'tropical pop', who was part of the recent lineup of post-punk proto-Riot Grrl band The Slits and was a support act for the recent Stone Roses' reunion shows, and Norfolk-based Mary Epworth lists traditional English song, 60s west coast psychedelia and Greek prog rock as her influences. Join Chris to hear them - and hopefully a snippet of their performance last night! - on the show, alongside Radmac staple features The Chain and Teatime Themetime.
