During this programme it was stated that Capital Gains Tax is charged at 40% which is not the case. Capital Gains Tax for individuals is charged at 18% or 28% depending on the total amount of taxable income. The CGT Annual Exempt Amount for individuals this tax year (2014/15) is 拢11,000.
