Deaf theatre is the strongest it has been in a long time with more and more theatre productions incorporating deafness and sign language in different and creative ways. From the Fingersmiths with their new bilingual stage play Frozen, to Graeae Theatre's mixed deaf and disabled cast in the Threepenny Opera, there seems to be something for everyone. The programme also looks back at the chequered history of deaf theatre, as well as forward, to Deafinitely Theatre's new sign language production of a Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.
