In Mallusk, Jemmy Hope, a United Irishman of Covenanter stock, is remembered by Mayor and historian Fraser Agnew; the Ulster Scots and the Scotch Irish, from both sides of the war in America of 1812-15, are recalled by John McCavitt, in this year鈥檚 Whitelaw Reid Memorial Lecture.
And in the Castlereagh Hills, folk are celebrating the 200th anniversary of Robert Huddleston, the Bard of Moneyrea.
