#麻豆社Britpop 20th Anniversary Playlist
Tom Robinson asks 6 Music listeners to help create a special Britpop 20th anniversary playlist.
Tom Robinson asks listeners to create a special Britpop playlist with the help of social media, as part of the 麻豆社 marking the scene's 20th birthday.
Allegedly coined as a phrase by 6 Music's very own Stuart Maconie, Britpop is credited as fully forming in April 1994 with the death of grunge icon Kurt Cobain and the release of Blur's 'Parklife'.
As part of 6 Music's celebrations, Steve Lamacq is asking listeners to vote for 6 Music's Favourite Britpop Anthem from a list of 40.
So for Now Playing's collaborative playlist, listeners are invited to suggest the anthems they reckon are MISSING from this Top 40. See the Now Playing blog to access the full list.
Send song suggestions and comments via the hashtag #麻豆社Britpop on Twitter as well as through Facebook, collaborative playlists on Spotify and Rdio and the usual contact methods.
