Episode 3
Iolo Williams meets those who have a passion for the sea. Here, he travels from Newquay to the Pembrokeshire coast, where he dives with friendly Atlantic grey seals.
Iolo Williams is travelling from Newquay in Cardigan Bay to an outcrop 15 miles off the Pembrokeshire coast called the Smalls. This is the third episode in a series where Iolo is meeting people who work on the sea and those who have a passion for it. He is also discovering the extraordinary wildlife which lives in the Wlesh sea, including bottlenose dolphins with photographer Janet Baxter and diving with friendly Atlantic grey seals at the Smalls. Along the way he sets out to go lobster fishing in a traditional wooden boat, discovers the underwater remains of a sea defence wall dating back to 1833 and how powerful tides in Ramsey Sound are to be harnessed for energy.
