Salou is famous as a package holiday beach resort, but Joe and Aoibhinn discover that there is a lot more to the area than just sun, sea and sand. They visit the fishing port of Cambrils and the historic town of Tarragona, and journey into the nearby mountains, where they find tranquil villages and stunning scenery.
In this episode's short getaway, Joe is in County Wexford, where he visits a newly-opened historic country house and explores the Irish National Heritage Park.

Roman Ampitheatre, Tarragona
Tourists come to see the amphitheatre and the cathedral and it feels very Spanish - both the old quarter and new town have wonderful squares and plazas. It is easy to understand why this has been a favourite resort since Roman times.
Cambrils Market
There are several miles of sea front here, stretching from Salou to its smaller sister town, Cambrils. Cambrils considers itself a bit more upmarket than Salou and has markets to explore and plenty of foods to try.
