JM Barrie's classic tale Peter Pan given a feminist twist in a new adaptation for the RSC. What's the best way to after small children if the parents need, or want, to work? The Â鶹Éç World Service asked reporter, Madeline Morris to look at different models of childcare around the world. Today she looks at boarding kindergarten schools in China where children weekly board from the age of three and see their parents only at weekend. We look at a new study that reveals how child support in South Africa is helping to reduce the risk of young women getting HIV. Plus, All in the Mind, the weekly Radio 4 programme, is celebrating a quarter of a century by launching their 25th Anniversary Awards. Claudia Hammond talks about the Awards, how mental health care has changed for women during the time they've been on air and the early champions in the field, women like the American investigative journalist Nellie Bly.

The presenter Claudia Hammond joins Jenni to explain what the award categories are, changes in the way women experience mental health care and the early champions in this area, like the American investigative journalist Nellie Bly.
Child Support and HIV in South Africa
Child support in South Africa is helping girls resist the advances of older men, reducing the risk of getting HIV according to a new study. Oxford University has found that girls in families receiving financial assistance from the Government were two thirds less likely to become infected with HIV than those without financial support. One of the major causes of HIV spreading is ‘sugar daddies’ older boyfriends who give food, money or pay for school fees in return for sex. Jenni discusses with Dr Lucie Cluver one of the authors of the report from Johannesburg in South Africa.

Jenni is joined by Ella and Carol Mavor, a professor at The University of Manchester who writes about children’s literature, Peter Pan and gender, to discuss the role of Wendy and femininity, the enduring appeal of Peter Pan, and putting women centre stage.
