Doegen
Recorded archive from the Doegen Collection of 1928-31 offers an insight into the accents and idioms of the Irish language in Ulster, Munster and Connacht at that time.

Between 1928 and 1931 native Irish speakers were recorded in Ulster, Munster and Connacht. These records are known as the 'Doegen Collection' which was recently published online by the Royal Irish Academy. In tonight's programme we hear some of the recorded archive giving us an insight into the accents and idioms of the Irish language in Ulster at that time.
