Documentary. For weeks on end, the Bakhtiari Nomads of Iran trek through the Zagros mountains in the southwest of the country.

Tha mòran den bheachd gur e seo an gluasad as annasaich de dhaoine anns an t-Saoghal: seachdain and dèidh seachdain tha iniltearan Bakhtiari a Iran a coiseachd tro beanntannan àrda Zagros ann an iar deas na dùthcha, toirt gach nithe a tha aca leotha agus drobhadh ceudan de chaoraich agus gobhair. Da thuras sa bhliadhna bith iad air ais 's air adhart eadar na diofar àiteachan-feuraich aca, aon airson a gheamhradh agus aon airson an t-samhradh, a siubhal tro slighean cumhang, oirean cas agus tro cadha beinn cho àrd ri 4000m. Tha gach duine is beathach ann an cunnairt am beatha agus chan eil ach beagan de theaghlaichean inilteir air fhàgail a dhùraigeas fheuchainn.

Many consider it the most spectacular human migration in the world: for weeks on end, the Bakhtiari Nomads of Iran trek through the Zagros mountains in the southwest of the country, taking with them all of their worldly possessions and driving hundreds of goats and sheep. Twice a year they make the return journey between their winter and their summer pasturelands, travelling through narrow gorges, along the edges of steep cliffs, and through mountain passes as high as 4000 m. It is a life-or-death struggle for both man and animal, and only a few nomadic families still dare to take it on.
