She joins Jane to discuss how women can find their confidence and focus on what they want.

And when it comes to changing the way we look at ourselves, do the fashion industry and magazines have a role to play? Jane is joined by Fiona Golfar, editor at large for British Vogue, who will be convening the debate and Guardian columnist Hadley Freeman.

The novel The Ice Cream Girls follows two vulnerable teenage girls, who in the summer of 1989 are accused of murdering their school teacher, Marcus. Serena is acquitted, Poppy is found guilty.听 Seventeen years later Poppy remains insistent that she is innocent. So, what鈥檚 the truth? And, if Poppy didn鈥檛 kill Marcus, then who did? talks about her original idea for the book, the research she did into abused women and the public鈥檚 reaction to her story.

Training Housing Professionals to Identify Domestic Violence
Guddy Burnet began her career working with Refuge and is now Community Safety Team Leader at Peabody, one of the largest social housing providers in London. She wrote the training package Domestic Abuse: Good Practice for Housing Providers.听 Today at Capita鈥檚 National Domestic Violence conference,听she will give a keynote speech. She joins Jane to explain how the initiative is helping to identify and refer domestic abuse victims and, along with author Dorothy Koomson, to discuss the nature of domestic abuse.
