On Sunday a new film 鈥淎lice Walker: Beauty in Truth鈥 has its world premiere at 鈥 Women of the World festival in London.听 Shelia McClennon talks to Alice Walker and its director Pratibha Parmar about the film about her life.

MPs job sharing?

The Liberal Democrat spring conference opens in Brighton this week听and in one of their closed sessions they will be discussing the idea of MPs job sharing. It's one suggestion in a new policy consultation document aimed at getting more women into Parliament -听but how realistic is it to ask two MPs to share a constituency? What happens if they disagree on how to vote on a matter of conscience? And, how would they divide parliamentary and constituency duties? To discuss the issues, Sheila McClennon is joined by Dr Ruth Fox, Director of the , and by former Labour MP Julia Drown who left Parliament in 2005 because she found her work as an MP incompatible with family life.

How much affect does the loss of a mother have on the daughter they leave behind and influence the relationship they have with their own children? Shelia McClennon talks to playwright Lucy Gannon and Maureen Fearon, a bereavement and emotional therapist, about the impact the loss of their mothers have had on their lives.听

To mark International Women's Day, 麻豆社 Sport has surveyed 400 elite sportswomen in the UK. The results show that many cannot make a living from their sport and do not get the coaching support they feel they need. Perhaps the most surprising finding is that there is a severe lack of female coaches 鈥 only 9% of British coaches for London 2012 were women. Judy Murray, one of our most high profile female coaches, joins Sheila to discuss the lack of female coaches in sport.

Angela Epstein, co-author of 鈥淭he Art of the Loophole: Making the Law Work For You.鈥 talks about the defence 鈥榤arital coercion鈥 as Vicky Pryce is found guilty of perverting the course of justice by taking speeding points on behalf of her former husband Chris Huhne.
