POEM :: UNIVERSAL LAW FOR THE WEB

Universal Law for the Web by Murray Lachlan Young

Ìý

I met a man who told me life was perfect

In a lift upon the 37th floor

By the time we were getting near the basement

He’d expounded on a universal law

Ìý

Saying everything that happens has a reason

Every meeting every greeting every call

For the universe dispenses with perfection

All the things that should be coming to us all

Ìý

He said everything is driven by vibration

The attraction to the action of ones choice

One receives the very thing that one is calling

When vibrating with a special inner voice

Ìý

As I exited the lift I heard him choking

I consoled him saying: it was meant to be

And reminded him the universe was perfect

And I’d had a dodgy curry for my tea

POEM :: COMETH THE SPRING

Cometh the Spring by Murray Lachlan Young

Deep chill still ride the winter breeze
Long past the thought of Christmas box
Long past the battle of the trees
Twixed solstice night and equinox

Upon the heels of old St bride
In sight of winter aconite
We mark the turning of the tide
Come to the feast of candle light

The hornbeam shifts in contemplation
Reaching for the distant sound
The oak remains in meditation
Birch tree shifts in frozen ground

Now all the days of marked cold
make points that line the joyful way
As names struck from the winter role
That lead us to the month of May

Yet what do wise Grandmothers say?
That now is now and then was then
And life must not be wished away
For neither will be seen again

See snowdrops pierce the woodland floor
Now earth is turned in cosmic plan
And see the turning push the door
So prune your apples while you can

And hear the gentle whisper sing
As wildest bell begin to ring
Throw open potting shedsonce more
And greet the coming of the spring
