The late Donald Archie MacDonald chose his poetry from the 16th to the 18th century. We hear him recite verses from B'annsa Cadal air Fraoch composed by Archibald MacDonald. An Duanag Ullamh whose author is unknown, Bothan Àirigh am Brà igh Raineach whose author is also unknown, A' Là ir Dhonn by Murdo Mackenzie, and a composition by John MacKay from Gairloch ( The Blind Piper ) . He finishes by choosing the poetry he would have taken with him to a desert island, Oran na Comhachaig, where the poet, Donald Finlayson, writes as if through the eyes of an owl.
Producer Catriona Murray.
