with Marco Pierre White and Ozwald Boateng
Celebrating the best of British cuisine and fashion with Marco Pierre White and Ozwald Boateng, plus a Tune With a Tale by singer Keith West with 'Excerpt From a Teenage Opera'.
Last year Tammy Wynette's song 'No Charge' was featured in 'Tune With A Tale' and this week's 'I Can't Believe It's Not Better' choice was JJ Barrie's version of said song. Unbelievably it reached No. 1 in 1976! And after sorting out his headphones, Graham finally managed to chat to Sharon Morris about this week's 'Tune With A Tale' which was 'Excerpt From A Teenage Opera' by Keith West. Sharon lives on Anglesey and is now the proud owner of a set of wonderful, wipe free coasters!
In 'Grill Graham' this week there were two really challenging problems. First up was Sam in Rochester who was worried about his friend who's planning to fly to America to meet a girl he met online. Sam is concerned that she may not be all she says she is and his friend could end up being disappointed. And then there was someone calling herself 'Miss Heart' whose friend of 30 years resents the fact that Miss Heart had a gastric band fitted and believes that their friendship is now in jeopardy because all they had in common was being overweight.
Graham's first guest was top chef and restaurateur - no 'n' in restaurateur, who knew? - Marco Pierre White who dropped by to chat about his latest TV project, 'Kitchen Wars' on FIVE. He also talked about how he loves chip shop chips, his thoughts on music in restaurants and how food is the best it's ever been in the UK.
In the final hour Top British designer Ozwald Boateng was on fashion time, because he was almost 15 minutes late! Apparently he got held up taking his son to football... better late than never. Once he had finally made it into the studio, he talked about his movie 'A Man's Story' which took 12 years to make and how he's planning to expand his fashion business around the globe.
