Jeffrey Lewis
It has been too long since we could say 'hello, Mr Lewis, welcome to studio 6', but we can now because we have Jeffrey Lewis in session!
It has been too long since we could say "Hello Mr Lewis, welcome to studio 6" but we can now because we have Jeffrey Lewis in session!
It's been a while since we've had the pleasure of Mr Lewis's company but he has been keeping busy with two side projects, The Bundles (with Kimya Dawson from Moldy Peaches) and Come On Board (with Peter Stampfel from Holy Modal Rounders/Fugs), and touring the four corners of this fine globe. He has also been commissioned by the History channel to produce ten illustrated and sung historical pieces, with Ernie Brooks from Modern Lovers. And he is just about to release his latest Rough Trade offering 'A Turn In The Dream-Songs'.
We can't wait for tonight's session because it's going to be marvellous. Don't want to take our word for it? Well how about Mr Jarvis Cocker? He said that Jeffrey Lewis is "The Best lyricist working in the US today" and we all know that Jarvis is never wrong.
