Sir Terry Wogan returns to Radio 2 this bank holiday weekend. He invites actress Samantha Womack in for a chat and Will Young performs.
Samantha Womack is best known for playing the role of Ronnie Branning in EastEnders from 2007 until the character's departure in 2011. She also appeared in the 麻豆社 sitcom Game On, and represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991. More recently, she appeared in Famous, Rich and in the Slums for Comic Relief, where she visited Kibera in Kenya, Africa's largest slum. This month she is currently appearing in South Pacific at the Barbican Theatre in London.
The British singer-songwriter and actor Will Young rose to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural Pop Idol contest, making him the first winner of the now-worldwide franchise. He has sold over eight million albums worldwide, with his debut single Evergreen becoming the biggest selling single of the 2000s. Earlier this year he appeared in the supernatural drama series Bedlam. His fifth studio album Echoes is out this month, with Jealousy as the first single.
