Clare Balding introduces the pick of the opening day's swimming action at the World Aquatics Championships in Shanghai, as well as Tom Daley's bid to retain his world title in the men's 10m platform.
The first four of the 40 titles are decided in the pool, all in freestyle events. Double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington and British team-mate Jo Jackson are vying for their first world titles in the 400m freestyle, where they face Italy's feisty defending champion Federica Pellegrini. The men's 400m freestyle and the 4x100m freestyle relays are also decided.
Plus, news of the open water swimming events including the women's 10km race where Keri-Anne Payne defends the title she won in Rome in 2009.
