Celebrating Scottish gardens. Jim checks on the success of the yields in the fruit house, and Carole and George give the bog garden a revamp. Plus Jim reviews the garvinea trial.

Gardening programme celebrating Scottish gardens, with horticultural tips and tricks, presented by Jim McColl, Carole Baxter, Lesley Watson, George Anderson and Carolyn Spray.

In the Beechgrove Garden, Jim is in the fruit house, drowning in strawberries and chomping on the first cherries of the season, and remember George's severe talking to of the peach? Well it has properly borne fruit.

Carole and George give the bog garden a revamp, taking out invasive varieties and adding a new beach and new plants to the moist mix.

Jim is also reviewing the garvinea trial - these new crosses that were looking so promising and full of flower when they arrived, how have they made it through all the wet and windy weather?

Carole visits Maddy Tinson who has an amazing garden. In this visit Carole is particularly interested in her collection of the breathtaking mylnefield lilies. These lilies were bred to cope with the Scottish climate, but nevertheless they have all the usual, beautiful attributes of the lily family - delicate flowers with various intricate formations and hues ranging from gold and red through orange and yellow to speckled cream.
