What has Meatloaf ruined for you?
Keavo takes a rib-tickling satirical romp through the day's news and events to a joyous soundtrack from The Cribs to The Clash, plus author Neil Strauss is in the studio.
Shaun Keaveny takes a rib-tickling satirical romp through the day's news and events, to the perfect morning soundtrack for any music-lover; from northern soul to new folk; rock 'n' roll to indie disco. New tracks from the likes of Death Cab For Cutie and TV On The Radio delightfully wrap around your semi-conscious ears, along with the best of the greatest back catalogues on the planet; be they The Smiths, The Stones, The Clash or The Jam.
Wednesday's guest is author Neil Strauss who is perhaps best known as the master of seduction 'Style' from The Game. But long before he ever shaved his head and donned gold boots he was one of the best rock journalists in the world, writing for Rolling Stone and the New York Times. His new book 'Everyone Loves You When You're Dead' is a collection of his greatest interviews combined with a compelling and drop dead funny journey into the fame and madness of rock, pop and modern cultural celebrity. He talks to Shaun about making Lady Gaga cry, grabbing a beer with Bruce Springsteen and stopping Motley Crue from getting arrested.
'Everyone Loves You When You're Dead' sees Strauss take material from over 3,000 interviews that he has recorded with artists, teen idols and superstars over the last couple of years. The transcripts intend to show the true face of these rock gods and goes behind the mask that they present to the public. Having previously written 'The Dirt' the official Motley Crue biography, Neil is perfectly placed to comment on the madness of Rock and Roll and the people at the eye of the storm.
Wednesday also see Shaun chatting about his new haircut and asks 'What has Meatloaf ever ruined for you?'.
