Mary Ann Kennedy presents a session with Japanese duo Etsuro Ono & Shunsuke Kimura. Kimura and Ono are powerful innovators of the Japanese three-stringed lute, the Tsugaru-Shamisen. Their semi-improvised style is from northern Japan and they perform both traditional pieces and new material which fuses an original folk sound with the soul and blues rhythms of the West. Plus new music from around the globe.
