The Jerusalem Quartet perform Jan谩cek's Quartet "Intimate Letters" and Brahms' second quartet in A minor at the 2010 Schwetzingen Festival. Both are intensely personal works, the first being an expression of Janacek's decades-long friendship with a married woman much younger than himself, and the second being held back from publication until Brahms finally felt satisfied with it.
