Stephane Cornicard presents six short programmes to help with spoken French. Designed for people who have learnt some French already, the programmes cover situations that you are likely to encounter in France.
Unit 13: 'La randonée' - hill-walking. Hill-walking on the Marseilles coast. Serge Mercier guides us along a well-known walking route.
Unit 14: 'Les plats' - dishes. Discussing what is needed to cook a meal. Yves Rivoiron, owner of Café des Fédérations, and three chef friends share their special recipes and discuss what is special about the 'bouchon', a typical Lyonnais restaurant.
Unit 15: 'La pharmacie' - the pharmacy. Saying what is wrong with you at the chemist. Pharmacist Bénédicte Tassart talks about her job and the typical ailments that people come to her with.
Unit 16: 'La chambre d'hôte' - the guest house. Chatting to people at a French B&B. Alix Arnaud, owner of La Petite Maison in Marseilles talks about her guests.
Unit 17: 'Les vacances' - holidays. Discussing the sort of holidays you like. Friends Aurélie Vuillet and Myriam Lathuille go snow-walking with two male friends and guide in Le Massif des Aravis.
Unit 18: 'Le musée' - the museum. Talking about how things used to be in the past. Fabrice Calzettoni of L'Institut Lumière talks about the history of cinema and the Lumière brothers.
