Mike Harding presents an hour of the very best in folk, roots and acoustic music, including an interview with Irish singer Heidi Talbot about her new album The Last Star.
Heidi Talbot first made a name for herself with Irish-American group Cherish The Ladies, which she joined in 2002.
The County Kildare-born singer's first two solo releases - Distant Future (2004) and In Love and Light (2008) - drew acclaim for her beautiful crystalline vocals, described by the New York Times as 'awestruck and tender'.
Heidi's third solo record, The Last Star is released in October and Mike Harding talks to her about songwriting, about recording, and about her many esteemed collaborators including husband and producer John McCusker.
