In the last of this week's Lunchtime Concert from St George's Hall in Liverpool, three works by very contrasting composers who all celebrate a significant anniversary in 2010. As well as the bicentenary of Schumann's birth, it's Samuel Barber's centenary this year, and also 80 years since the birth of Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu. This concert was recorded in April as part of the Rodewald Concert Series.
