Mary Ann Kennedy with CDs from across the globe, and a studio session with Razia Said, a Malagasy singer whose new album 'Zebu Nation' rediscovers the roots music of the island.

Razia Said lived in Madagascar until she was eleven years old, until she moved with her family first to Gabon, then southern France, and finally New York. In the USA she sang mostly R&B, but found herself increasingly drawn to Malagasy traditional music. Her new album was recorded mostly on Madagascar, using local musicians, and her aim is to draw attention to the environmental challenges facing the island.
