The search for the country's best amateur cook continues. The heat winners reach the quarter final, where they must design an exceptional three course meal to impress the judges.

In a specially extended show, top chef and restaurateur John Torode and food writer and ingredients expert Gregg Wallace continue their search for the country's best amateur cook.

The contestants face three high-pressure tests to see who has the passion, the skill and the creativity to make it to the quarter finals.

In the first heat the contestants face the pressure of the professional kitchen at Roast, and in the second they must make the grade at Bistro 51 in St James'.

The pressure is on, because only the best will make it through, taking them one step closer to becoming the next MasterChef...

The heat winners then face the quarter final, where they have to design an exceptional three course meal to impress the judges - but, before that, they must prove that they have the skill, palate, talent, commitment and the passion to change their lives and pursue a foodie future.

The pressure is on, because only the best will get through to the semi finals, taking them one step closer to becoming the next MasterChef...
