Marc brings you a live session from psychedelic folkies The Witch And The Robot, all the way from the wilds of the Lake District.
Marc returns as do psychedelic folkies the Witch and the Robot.
All the way from the wilds of the Lake Districts the Witch and the Robot blend dark psychedelia, folk, shanties and spoken word. Their debut album On Safari came out last year and was described by Drowned in Sound as "Some sort of freak-folk, pastoral, krautrock mindblow!" which just about summed it up. A new single "Hetero/Giants' Graves" is out just about now.
Comprising Dustin Goodnite (Andrew Tomlinson), Hen (Stuart Shingler), Venice (Sam Hunt) and DJ Aesthetic Heartbreak, the four members were born within three months of each other and have been friends for longer than they can remember. They're also friends with British Sea Power, having opened their Tan Hill Festival.
