The programme is fragrant with love, except for two songs which buck the trend: Sam, The Old Accordion Man, a remarkable 1927 recording by Ruth Etting, played to mark composer Walter Donaldson's birth-date; and That's What I Hate About Love, a Harold Arlen-Ted Koehler rarity sung by Rebecca Kilgore.
