Episode 10
Joining Jools for music are David Gray, who performs a duet with Annie Lennox; The Decemberists; Corinne Bailey Rae; and Later... debutists The Big Pink and soul singer Rox.
Joining Jools is David Gray, who is back in the studio to perform a duet with Annie Lennox, entitled Full Steam, from his recent Draw the Line album.
Portland, Oregon's The Decemberists perform songs from their acclaimed album The Hazards of Love. Inspired by the British folk revival of the mid-Sixties, the album tells of a woman, her shape-shifting lover, his forest queen mother, and a rake.
Corinne Bailey Rae makes a welcome return to the show, performing a couple of acoustic exclusives ahead of the February 2010 release of her second album.
Making their Later... debut are The Big Pink, who deal in a fuzzy electro-rock blend, and recently released their debut album, A Brief History of Love, to much acclaim. Also appearing on the show for the first time is south London's Rox, whose pop/soul stylings have already won her an array of admirers, and will no doubt gather more with the release of her debut album in 2010.
