Tanya Arnold hosts highlights from the opening games in the inaugural Four Nations tournament, in which England, Australia, New Zealand and France play each other in a round-robin format with the two best teams qualifying for the final at Elland Road.
Hosts England kicked the tournament off with a game against France at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium. Head coach Tony Smith would have been confident of a winning start after England thrashed the French 66-12 in Paris in June.
In the other game, Australia took on New Zealand at the Twickenham Stoop in a repeat of last year's World Cup final, in which Kiwis upset the odds to come out on top.
