Show favourites Richmond Fontaine return for another live session. The band's new album "We Used To Think The Freeway Sounded Like A River" was released in the UK on August 17th on Decor Records. The band are headed by songwriter and novelist Willy Vlautin.This album is the band's eighth record to date. It is all written by singer/songwriter, Willy Vlautin whom has already released two fiction novels to great acclaim in the past two years 'The Motel Life' and 'Northline' on Faber & Faber and his third novel is ready for release in Feb 2010. Produced by JD Foster (Calexico), at Jackpot studios in Portland (Go-Betweens, Elliott Smith, The Decemberists and The Shins). The core of the band is: Willy Vlautin - guitars, vocals, Sean Oldham - drums, Dave Harding - Bass and Dan Eccles - guitar. Features Collin Oldham's invention the cellomobo and Paul Brainard on trumpet and pedal steel.If all that wasn't enough we'll have the ever chapped up Rob Hughes for his now infamous Americana Slot. Two tunes with an American bent and some talking.
