Emerson String Quartet

The Emerson String Quartet in Mendelssohn: Quartet in E flat. Beethoven: Quartet in E flat (The Harp). Mendelssohn: Quartet in F minor.

The multi-award winning Emerson String Quartet perform two Mendelssohn Quartets, the earliest and the final of his oeuvre for which the ensemble have been widely acclaimed. This is contrasted with Beethoven's radiant String Quartet No.10, nicknamed 'The Harp', reminiscent in some respects of the Fifth Symphony which was written around the same time.
