The ultimate culinary challenge for Britain's top chefs. Two chefs go head-to-head buying food, preparing dishes and selling them to diners at some of the country's most diverse and high-end restaurants. Selling more dishes than their rival and winning the competition has never been more important.
The chefs putting their own money and reputations on the line are John Burton-Race, Nick Nairn, Gino D'Acampo, Aldo Zilli, James Tanner, Paul Rankin, Ed Baines, Atul Kochhar, Richard Phillips and Galton Blackiston.
Ed Baines and Galton Blackiston go back to the classroom, taking over a canteen at the Royal Holloway University. With a roomful of hungry students to feed, our chefs must provide gourmet meals at budget prices. They must each prepare one meat or fish dish, one vegetarian dish and one dessert. Whoever tempts enough students to part with their cash in order to make the most profit will win. Who will get top marks, and who will be bottom of the class?
