Presenter Tim Wonnacott visits one of the most poignant museums in Britain - the Foundling Museum. This fascinating centre in London is on the site of a now-demolished hospital which cared for abandoned babies and children.
Many of those left on its doorstep had with them tokens from their mothers, forced to give up their children due to poverty or the stigma of illegitimacy.
