Penny Gore presents Russian cellist Mischa Maisky and daughter Lily performing romantic Russian songs as well as Shostakovich's Cello Sonata.

In a recital given in August at the Edinburgh International Festival 2008, Russian cellist Mischa Maisky, who studied with Rostropovich at the Moscow Conservatoire, is joined by his daughter Lily on the piano in a programme which includes Maisky's own transcriptions of romantic Russian songs plus Shostakovich's virtuosic Cello Sonata.
