Australia
Series in which Simon Reeve travels the Tropic of Capricorn. In Australia, he witnesses the migration of the humpback whale and visits the Great Barrier Reef.
Simon Reeve travels the Tropic of Capricorn, the line of latitude that cuts across South Africa, South America and Australia. On the Australian west coast, Simon witnesses the migration of the humpback whale. He meets a tough outback couple refusing to leave an asbestos-polluted ghost town and a farmer attempting to eke a living out of a dustbowl. He visits one of many Aboriginal communities in a desperate state, said to be blighted by alcoholism, child abuse and poverty.
