The Ballot process

How can I get a ticket?

There are 5,000 pairs of free Platinum Party At The Palace concert tickets available through an online ballot.

Each successful applicant in the ballot will be able to nominate a guest, giving a total of 10,000 tickets. Tickets will be standing, not seated. You cannot buy a ticket for the concert.

The ballot is open to those who are resident in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man; and to those who have a BFPO address.

Applications will be online only and only one application per person is permitted.

Ballot applications will be accepted from 07:00 hrs GMT on 24th February 2022 until 23:59 hrs GMT on 23rd March 2022.

Tickets will not be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. There is as much chance of your name being drawn if the application is made on 24th February as by the closing time on 23rd March.

How will tickets be allocated?

Tickets will be selected via an independently verified ballot, which will take place after the application process has closed. The ballot will reflect fairly the population spread across the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), the Channel Isles, the Isle of Man and BFPO. You don’t have a greater or lesser chance if you live in a sparsely populated area or a highly populated area.

If I am successful in the ballot, what will happen?

You will be asked to submit your guest’s name and details, alongside your own, at application stage. Applicants & their guests may be subject to a pre-event security check by the police.

If your name is drawn in the ballot you will be notified by email by late April. You will then be asked to claim your tickets and confirm your attendance at the concert. You will have two weeks (14 days) in which to claim your ticket and you will be sent reminders by email during this period.

Full instructions on how to accept your tickets will be sent to you by email in April. You can use either a pre-existing Ticketmaster customer account to claim the tickets or create a new one. There is no charge for a Ticketmaster account or for accepting your tickets. Your phone is your ticket and you will not receive a paper ticket or be able to print out a version of the digital ticket, it must be presented on your phone to obtain entry to the event.

You will also be sent specific information about the arrangements for the event and what to expect; including Covid-19 guidelines, security arrangements, entry and exit points and timings.

If you are successful in the ballot and then cannot attend, please do not claim your tickets. If subsequent to claiming your tickets you find that you cannot attend, you will be able to cancel by contacting Ticketmaster customer services.

Please note that tickets are strictly non-transferrable. If, for whatever reason, you or your nominated guest is unable to attend, you may not pass on your ticket to someone else.

How old do you have to be to attend?

You must be 18 or over as of 24th February 2022 to apply for tickets.

The concert is not suitable for young children; tickets are standing and it will be a long day – starting late afternoon and finishing late in the evening. Therefore, your nominated guest must be aged 11 or over as of 24th February 2022.

Proof of age may be required. Nominated guests aged under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or someone who is acting with the written consent of parent or legal guardian.

If I’m NOT successful in the ballot where can I watch and listen to coverage of the Concert?

The Platinum Party At The Palace concert will be broadcast live on Â鶹Éç One and Radio 2.

I need help with my application – what can I do?

Please ensure you fill out all the fields on the application page correctly, including the mandatory fields. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions; and press submit. You will receive an on screen confirmation message and a confirmation via email within 48 hours. Please ensure that you check your spam and junk folders for this email.

If the website is busy, due to the high volume of people applying, please try again later. Please remember tickets will NOT be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applications will be accepted up until 23:59 hrs GMT on 23rd March 2022.

The event - General information

When will I receive my ticket?

This event will be ticketed with Ticketmaster’s Mobile Tickets, which means tickets must be presented on your mobile phone to obtain entry and you will not receive a paper ticket or be able to print out a version of the digital ticket. You will be able to access your tickets in your Ticketmaster account via the internet browser on your mobile phone or through the Ticketmaster App. If you haven’t already, you can download the app as it allows you to save your tickets to a digital wallet.

Ticketmaster will send you information on how to present your mobile tickets in the lead up to the event and the tickets will show in your account from 23rd May onwards.

What do I do if I am no longer able to attend the concert?

If subsequent to claiming your tickets you find that you cannot attend, you will be able to cancel by contacting Ticketmaster customer services.

Please note that tickets are strictly non-transferrable. If, for whatever reason, you or your nominated guest is unable to attend, you may not pass on your ticket to someone else. If you are the ticket winner and you can no longer attend, your guest will not be able to attend without you.

Where can I watch and listen to coverage of the concert?

The Platinum Party At The Palace concert will be broadcast live on Â鶹Éç One, Â鶹Éç iPlayer and Â鶹Éç Radio 2.

What if I need assistance on the day?

Our friendly stewards/ushers will be on hand to help anyone who needs it. If you’re looking a little lost, don’t be surprised if they approach you – they are there to help. If you notice something that doesn’t seem right, please tell them and they will do the rest.

We will be working closely with the police to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event safely and securely.

We will also have stewards to assist with any ticket questions – e.g. if your phone has run out of battery.

What sort of security arrangements will there be? Will I need to bring ID?

Guests’ safety and security whilst at the Concert is a priority, so ticket holders are advised to arrive early to pass through security screening processes. All guests will be subject to a security search on arrival.

As well as checking each guest’s digital ticket, guests will also be asked to bring two separate forms of identification, one of which must be photographic (a passport or photo driving licence); and one which must confirm current home address. If your guest is aged under 18 they will not be required to provide the above identification. However, they must be accompanied by the eligible ticket holder. Failure to provide adequate proof of identity may result in entry being refused. More details on acceptable forms of identification, the security arrangements and the requirements, will be sent to you if you are successful in the ballot.

Tickets will be strictly non-transferrable and cannot be used by anyone other than the ballot applicant and their guest named at the point of entry to the ballot.

There will a wider security aisle on both the North and South entrances which can accommodate wheelchairs.

Please note that failure to provide adequate proof of identity may result in entry being refused.

Will I be able to bring a bag/luggage?

All bags will be searched and for security reasons large items of luggage will not be allowed. There is no left-luggage facility at the event. Only small A4 sized bags (W21cm x H30cm x D8cm), handbags and rainwear will be permitted. There will be no cloakroom facilities, but there will be toilets in the concert arena.

Guests are asked to keep personal possessions to a minimum in order to assist with security searches. A bag or other bulky items could lead to you being delayed during security checks on entry and missing the event.

What Covid-19 guidelines will be in place for the Event?

Event protocols will be subject to government restrictions at the time and any additional Â鶹Éç Covid-19 event safety measures. Guests may be required to show proof of a negative lateral flow test taken within 24 hours of attendance at the event. This will be an outdoor, non-socially distanced concert. Further Covid-19 related safety information will be sent to successful applicants in the run up to the Event.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive in good time. All guests will be subject to a security search and identification check on arrival; this will take time and you may have to queue, but every effort will be made to move things along as quickly as possible.

Gates to the concert arena will open at 4.00 pm and close at 7.00pm. The Concert will begin at 8pm and will last for two to three hours.

There will be a pre-show which starts at 4pm where we’ll be getting the party started early. Scott Mills will be kicking it off with a DJ set and there will be massive give aways of signed items from the stars of the night. Arrive early to make sure to get involved with sing-a-longs and lots of surprises.

Which entrance should I use?

Your tickets will tell you if you should arrive at the Green Park or Spur Road entrance. Guests whose ticket states Green Park entrance should travel via Green Park station and guests whose ticket states Spur Road entrance should travel via Victoria station.

How do I get to Buckingham Palace?

We strongly recommend that guests use public transport as there will be no parking at Buckingham Palace or on The Mall. There are Rail and Underground Stations within walking distance to Buckingham Palace and many buses also pass within walking distance of the Palace. Please check your route before travel as there will be some road closures in place in the local area and some stations may be closed and bus routes diverted.

Please travel to Green Park station if your ticket is marked Green Park entrance and Victoria station if your ticket is marked Spur Road entrance.

Please note that Central London is expected to be extremely busy on Saturday 4th June and across the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Please plan your route in advance and allow plenty of time to travel. Check your route before travel as there will be some road closures in place in the local area and bus routes may be diverted. Will parking be available?

There will be no parking available and we strongly recommend that guests use public transport. There will also be road closures in the area and routes should be checked before travel, via the TFL website above.

What facilities are you providing for people with accessibility requirements?

Ballot winners who answered yes to the accessibility question on the application form will be contacted personally to discuss their requirements, and provision will be made accordingly.

We will send an accessibility information pack by email approximately two weeks before the event.

Both Victoria station and Green Park tube station provide step-free access from street level to all platforms. Green Park Station is approximately 0.4 miles from the Green Park entrance and Victoria Station is approximately 0.5 miles from Spur Road entrance.

What happens if it rains?

The stage will be covered, but not the main standing areas. Please bring rainwear with you. Umbrellas will not be permitted during the concert.

What will the dress code be?

There will be no particular dress code. Guests should wear what they feel comfortable in, bearing in mind the weather, the fact that the standing area will be uncovered and the duration – beginning in the afternoon and lasting in to the late evening. We would advise bringing rain wear and warm clothing as the temperature may drop later in the evening. Please do not wear clothing with any large branding or logos on it.

Will I be able to bring food and drink?

It is not permitted to bring food or drink (including alcohol) into the Event. There will be concessions within the concert arena if you wish to purchase food or drink. There will be water stations on site to fill reusable bottles with. Any reusable bottle brought onto site must be empty at the search points. No glass is permitted on site.

What time will the Concert start and end?

The Concert will start at 8.00 pm, gates will close at 7pm. As it is being broadcast live we need to ensure that everyone is in the concert arena in good time, so we ask that you arrive early.

The Concert is scheduled to end at approximately 10.30 pm. Please leave the area quietly at the end of the Event.

Will there be any entertainment before 8pm?

What toilet facilities will be available?

There will be toilet facilities (Male, Female & Accessible) available in the audience welfare areas.

Will I be able to bring a camera?

You may bring a camera, for taking pictures at the concert. You will not be permitted to film the concert on your phone. Professional cameras (including zoom lenses), video cameras or any form of audio visual equipment will not be allowed. Drones are not permitted and an air exclusion order will be in place.

What other items are prohibited?

The following articles are not permitted at the Event:
large flags, advertising or marketing messages, umbrellas, chairs (including folding or inflatable chairs), knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, glass vessels, cans, poles, and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.
It is against the law to smoke in enclosed spaces. Please observe the no smoking signage at the Event.
No animals will be permitted, other than guide dogs for the blind and/or hearing dogs for the deaf and/or assistance dogs.

What other Jubilee events are happening?
