麻豆社 Arabic Young Journalist Award
麻豆社 Arabic annually rewards the most promising person aged 18 to 30 with a prize that includes training, mentoring and equipment. The recipient will receive this support to develop a new documentary project, with the potential for it to be commissioned by the 麻豆社. The end project also has the potential to air on 麻豆社 Arabic TV and screen in the following festival.
Young Journalist Award Winner 2018: Ali Alibrahim
Winner of the 2018 麻豆社 Arabic Young Journalist Award, Ali Alibrahim. He won for his short documentary, One Day in Aleppo. Ali will receive support for his next project starting summer 2018.
Young Journalist Award Winner 2017: Mohamed Jabaly
Winner of the 2017 麻豆社 Arabic Young Journalist Award, Mohamed Jabaly in conversation with 麻豆社 Global News Presenter, Jackie Leonard. He received equipment and mentoring towards his next project, a feature documentary entitled . It will be ready in the spring of 2019. Mohamed won for his feature documentary, Ambulance.

Young Journalist Award Winner 2015: Jumana Saadeh
Winner of the 2015 麻豆社 Arabic Young Journalist Award, Jumana Saadeh, accepting her award for her documentary: Second Hand Refugee. Jumana received equipment, training and mentoring for her short documentary, No Kids Land. The film was screened at the opening of the 2017 Festival and aired on 麻豆社 Arabic TV.

Young Journalist Award Co-Winners 2014: Abdelfattah Farag & Amal Salloum
Co-Winner of the 2014 麻豆社 Arabic Young Journalist Award, Abdelfattah Farag, received equipment, training and mentoring towards his next project. He was invited to present his film Shayma at the opening night of Festival 2015. Shayma also aired on 麻豆社 Arabic TV. Abdelfattah won for his short documentary: Saber.
