World Tour of Glastonbury 2024

Welcome to the Glastonbury world tour!

This year the 麻豆社 broadcast Coldplay and Dua Lipa’s headline sets to the world with a brand new live stream on 麻豆社.com.

Glastonbury has long been a festival for a worldwide audience. For one weekend in June the world looks to a farm in Somerset to share in their love of music, culture, arts, and everything that makes Glastonbury unique on a global stage.

It’s not just the audience who travel from far and wide, the artists themselves are also drawn from across the globe, proving music is an international language that brings people together.

Nigeria

Ayra Starr

Afrobeats has made it to the Pyramid Stage!

The West-African Afrobeats style originated in the 1960s with Nigerian multi-instrumentalist Fela Kuti and his legacy lives on through his son Femi Kuti.

Femi played the Pyramid Stage on Friday but he wasn’t the only Nigerian artist performing at Glastonbury 2024. Others include Burna Boy, Tems, and Ayra Starr - who ended her Pyramid Stage debut declaring “next time I’ll be headlining”. Watch this space…

South Korea

Peggy Gou

K-Pop came to the Pyramid Stage for the first time this year with SEVENTEEN - perhaps the biggest act in this year’s lineup that you may not have heard of.

Also South Korean DJ and singer Peggy Gou headlined the Park Stage on Saturday night with a 90s dance-floor inspired performance.

Norway and Denmark

Heilung

Norwegian artist AURORA is loved for creating music as powerful as her messages, and she certainly delivered this during her Park Stage performance.

Also connecting their music to the Earth and their heritage, Heilung were formed in Denmark with band members from Norway, Denmark, and Germany. They took us through an immersive, ritualistic, and truly unforgettable experience.

Ghana

Alogte Oho and his Sounds of Joy

Blending their Ghanaian and Frafra musical heritage with soul, reggae, and beyond are Alogte Oho and his Sounds of Joy.

Producer Max Weissenfeldt found them performing at the local market of Bolgatanga, and now you can watch their infectious energy winning over the West Holts Stage audience.

Japan

Otoboke Beaver

All-female punk rock band Otoboke Beaver from Kyoto have an undeniable charisma, becoming one of Japan’s most exciting punk exports.

Their set featured mosh pits, crowd-surfing, a guitar thrown into the audience, and inflatable animals - as well as finishing their set with a unique rendition of We Are The Champions by Queen. A must-see moment!

Australia

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

Confidence Man are the Australian duo of Janet Planet and Sugar Bones who delivered an infectious energy that whipped the crowd into a dancing frenzy.

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets also hail from down under. Sometimes compared to other Aussie bands like King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala who was a special guest in Dua Lipa’s headline set.

Also representing Australasia was Jordan Rakei, born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, and now based in the UK. His soulful, jazz-infused set was a perfect fit for a chilled afternoon.

Jamaica

Masego

Born in Jamaica, Masego brought his magical blend of trap, house, and jazz to Worthy Farm. He took to the West Holts Stage with his saxophone and delighted his audience.

Ireland

Lankum

Pride of Dublin, post-punk band Fontaines D.C. played to a jam-packed crowd at the Park Stage, gifting us with favourites such as Romance, A Hero’s Death, and Starburster.

From post-punk to traditional folk with Irish quartet Lankum who took to the Park Stage with their mesmeric folk-inspired contemporary music. A real treat for the audience.

Pakistan

Arooj Aftab

In 2022 Arooj Aftab became the first-ever Pakistani artist to win a Grammy Award and in that same year received a Pride of Performance Award — Pakistan's most prestigious award for excellence in the field of art and music.

Don’t miss her mesmerising performance on the Park Stage.
