Fox's Christmas Tale by Ciaran McDonnell
Fox's Christmas Tale by Ciaran McDonnell
Read by Phillip Sacramento.
Fox was in his den at winter.
Fox was hungry.
He got out of his den and went to get food.
He went past the trees and the long grass and the field.
He couldn’t smell food.
Two minutes later he was in the town but he didn’t see any food.
He looked in the shop and saw shoes: ‘it’s just shoes’, he said, and he went to the next shop to look.
He saw sausages and burgers in the butchers – ‘yum, yum, sausages and burgers’, said the fox.
Fox tried to eat them but the butcher said: ‘shoo’. So he walked to the next shop.
He saw cake and buns in the cake shop – ‘I want to eat them’ said the fox. But the baker said: ‘no foxes allowed’.
It was night and the fox saw light on all the trees then he remembered it was Christmas Eve!
Fox rushed home past the field, the long grass and the trees.
When he was home he went to get his stocking and went to bed.
Much later Santa left Fox presents for when Fox wakened.
He saw food in his stocking. Delicious! Said the fox.
He invited Badger, Deer, Mouse, Squirrel and the Rabbit to eat.
They said: ‘yummy, thank you!’
Then they went outside and played snowball’s and made snow animals.
Fox said: ‘this is the best Christmas ever!’
