Think of classic movie soundtracks and no doubt Trainspotting springs to mind. Featuring , , and , to name just a few of the big hitters featured in the cult 1996 film, you can imagine the pressure was on when it came to mastering the score for new release Trainspotting 2.
With director Danny Boyle stopping in to chat to about the upcoming film and its soundtrack, we decided to take a look at some of the best modern film soundtracks well worth listening to whether you've seen the movies or not.
La La Land

The film EVERYONE is talking about – and rightly so, not least for its score, which has already won two Golden Globes , two Critics’ Choice Awards and two Satellite Awards, to name but a few of the soundtrack’s accolades. The standout track is City Of Stars, performed by Ryan Gosling, but ’s cameo brought with it the also excellent Start A Fire.
